Update

I just wanted to say that I have not forgotten about this blog. I have just had some bad luck and been extremely sick. I'm getting better and just started working again this week and I am still taking my makeup artistry courses as well as courses related to the fields that I am currently in which are graphic and web design. I should hopefully have some looks up soon. *crosses fingers*

Product Review for up & up Makeup Remover

The up & up Makeup Remover is an oil free product. I was skeptical about that at first because if you look at it, the product is a solution (I don't remember chemistry, maybe it's not a solution, lol), water and the other ingredients that it is made up of, and they are basically separated, an example of this would be putting oil in a glass and putting water in it, the two would not mix and would be separate layers. Well, this is what it looks like in the bottle. To use the product, you shake the bottle to allow the to halves to temporarily mix, they use the term activating, then with a clean cotton ball or pad, you close your eyes and remove the makeup.

Brazen and Bronzed Look

So, I did a brass and bronze look yesterday well, not on me on my friend because she was going out (again, lol), but here's how it turned out:

Carshow Time - Look with neutrals

A view without my glasses, this one actually allows you to see the Blue Brown pigment better.

Purrr-ple: Look done with purples

I did this for a friend because she was going out for a party and asked and I obliged.

This is the first close up shot, sorry, she was standing at an angle so it's not dead on.

Back to Mac Program

I figured I would touch on the Back to M.A.C. program because people have a lot of questions about it and I even had one and got mixed answers until I called and went into the stores.

For those that do not know about it, the B2M program is something that M.A.C. has been doing for a good while now. I think that this is a great program because not only does it help encourage people to recycle, it helps the environment AND you get something for free. I mean, what more could you want.

Anyhow, the program works like this: If you take six (6) empty primary packages (and I'm not talking about the boxes, it's the plastic and glass packaging that the product is in) then you can get a free lipstick.

A way to fuel my addiction

I've always loved makeup. I wanted to be a makeup artist when I was younger but my mother told me no, I had to be a doctor or a lawyer. I became neither of those nor a makeup artist, but I guess to make up for it. I have been finding myself in the M.A.C. and Sephora stores and the makeup counters in department stores.

It's kind of sad when you find yourself doing an impromptu haul and ashamed and embarrassed about it and hiding the fruits of it in your makeup case so that your boyfriend doesn't see it. Anyway, I do and am trying to calm down a bit with my purchases but I just can't stop. There are so many looks that you can create and beautiful shades of eyeshadows and and lipsticks and even nail polish.

I by no means am a makeup artist, but hope that I can help out other makeup lovers and those just getting into it with the tips that I have been taught by the girls and gals at the counters and stores or picked up along the way. Anyhow. I hope that this is the start of something fun and that I can share with everyone.
